Most domain names for sale on our site with a Buy Now option will direct you to purchase immediately through one of our 3rd party partners, such as GoDaddy.
When you choose to Buy Now on a domain name, you are able to purchase and pay right away. The process is quick and saves you time that negotiating a price through a Make Offer option requires.
Because you're able to pay immediately, the transaction and disbursement is also faster. You'll get your domain name much faster than negotiating an offer through the Make Offer option.
The drawback to Buy Now on a domain name is that you may end up paying more for a domain name. This is mostly due to the commissions structure of Buy Now options through GoDaddy.
Ultimately, the decision to Buy Now or Make an Offer is up to you, the buyer.
When you make an offer on a domain name, you are able to communicate and negotiate directly with the seller. This offers many benefits to both you and the seller.
Making an Offer allows the seller to process the domain sale in a way that may reduce the commissions paid (by the seller) to our 3rd party processing. GoDaddy and Escrow both take commissions from the sale of a domain name.
By reducing the commissions paid out, the seller may be able to accommodate a lower final price, thus saving you (the buyer) money in the process.
There are a few drawbacks to Making an Offer on a domain name. One is time. Negotiations can take time and there is no guarantee that an agreement will be made. Thus a loss of time is a drawback.
Another drawback is that the domain name you're interested in could still be purchased through the Buy Now method during your negotiations. This is important to keep in mind when Making an Offer.
This depends on a few factors including the final price but in general credit cards for lower priced sales (under $5,000.00 USD) and bank or wire transfer for higher prices (above $5,000.00 USD).
We use a 3rd party for payment processing and transaction assurance. This has multiple benefits including allowing us to offer options like "Buy It Now" and "Lease to Own" payment plans.
It also provides the buyer (you!) with trustworthy options so you can feel safe making your payment! Aside from the final price amount, other factors such as how the 3rd party operates can dictate payment. For more information about a specific 3rd party and their processes visit their website or contact their support.
As an example, if you are paying with a credit card and Escrow.com is the chosen 3rd party for processing, the payment cannot exceed $5000.00 USD. If it does, Escrow.com may require you to bank or wire transfer payment. Escrow also has options to pay with PayPal.
Most of the domain names on this site are available to Buy Now. If you choose this option, you will be sent to GoDaddy (Afternic) for the payment processing.
Making an Offer on a domain name is a great way to communicate directly with the seller. And it could even save you money vs the Buy Now option!
When you make an offer on a domain name you are beginning a negotiation with the seller. Your offer and optional message will be sent to the seller and they will respond to you via your submitted email.
Be sure that you check your spam and filtering for any messages coming from pixelnames.com. You should receive a response the same day and no more than a few days.
As you open a dialog with the seller you will discuss payment options, as well as which 3rd party will be used for processing payment and transaction assurance. We offer payment through Escrow.com as well as GoDaddy (Afternic) for our 3rd party options.
Keep in mind that the seller has every right to reject your offer for any reason.
We use a 3rd party for payment processing and transaction assurance. This means that the 3rd party will act as a middle-man between seller and buyer, making the entire transaction safe and smooth.
In general, the 3rd party will first request the payment and verify that funds are available. After which they request the domain name be transferred to them to be verified and held like the payment.
When they have both the payment and the domain name, they disburse the domain to the buyer (in their methods based on their process) and payment to the buyer. The entire process can take a few days to a week, but sometimes be as quick as a few hours depending on different factors.
This is a difficult question to answer because many people think domain values are subjective. Meaning pricing is made up by the seller and the price is dictated by the seller's tastes and opinions.
And while sometimes this is the case our pricing and domain values are objectively priced and based on data. We look at sales data across the domain name industry as well as our own sales history.
We have a process of evaluating domain names and along with industry data and sales history, we look at qualities such as domain name length, the domain name extension (or TLD), the characters in the domain name, is it a real word or gibberish, what is the domain name's most practical use case, etc. etc. etc.
Domain names are akin to buying any other kind of property. Take buying a car for example. Most cars for sale are priced appropriately based on other sales data and characteristics of the specific car. These are generally objectively priced. However you could find a rare classic car that has sentimental value to the seller and as such they value it more. That would be a subjective valuation.
We don't typically offer domains in bulk and therefore do not have a bulk discount listed anywhere on our website. That said, if you are serious about negotiating several domain purchases at once, we encourage you to mention this when you make an offer on a domain name.
Depending on which specific domain names you are interested in purchasing we may consider a reduced price to facilitate the purchase of multiple domain names.
